Dancehall star Vybz Kartel is now free after spending a decade behind bars for being guilty of homicide, which was overturned early this year. The deejay, alongside his to-be wife, Sidem Oztürk, was greeted by several fans following his release.
He quickly took to his Instagram to share a brief video of Sidem Oztürk giving a peck on his lips as they left the area in a Perry’s Limousine.
Kartel’s wife-to-be, Sidem Oztürk, was a London-based social worker who reportedly moved to Jamaica recently.
She left her career behind to be closer to the Dancehall star whom she addresses as her “Angel.”
Sidem Oztürk is of Turkish descent; however, details surrounding her lineage and family background remain unknown, and no trusted sites have covered them so far.

During an exclusive interview with Sidem Oztürk aired by Fox 5 on September 7, 2022, she revealed how their relationship flourished into this big milestone.
Kartel and Sidem started talking in 2015, a year after the Dancehall star was apprehended.
Having said that, the couple didn’t meet in person until 2019 when the London-based social worker Sidem traveled to Jamaica.
Reportedly, Sidem was the inspiration behind Kartel’s 10th EP, True Religion, released in 2022.
Similarly, Sidem revealed that they address each other as wifey and hubby.
Further, Sidem went on to address him as her “Angel,” with a wide grin on her face, saying,
To actually be here in Jamaica, engaged to Adi, is a dream come true. I still have not processed it properly yet in my head and it’s amazing.
Regardless of the complicated situation, she has been determined to make things work between them.
Sidem undoubtedly stood the test of time for her resilience, and prayers were answered.
Likewise, several coveted artists, including rapper Drake, supported his return, sharing an Instagram story adorning a “Free Kartel” t-shirt.

Jamaican artist Vybz Kartel married his ex-wife, Stacy Elliott, in 2006 after four years of dating. However, their marriage didn’t last long, and they separated in 2008.
Kartel and Stacy, the financial service center manager, reportedly met at a stage show in Brooklyn, New York.

They reportedly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Registrar General Department branch in CrossRoads, Kingston.
A graduate of the University of Phoenix, Stacy has worked at TruWest Credit Union since June 2016.

Kartel and his longtime ex-girlfriend, entrepreneur Tanesha Johnson, separated in 2018. They welcomed three sons during their union: Likkle Vybz, Likkle Addi, and Aiko.
