Tan Su Shan and her husband, Christopher Wilson, have been married for almost three decades!

Singaporean banker Tan Su Shan was recently announced as the next first woman CEO of Southeast Asia’s largest bank, DBS. She credits her husband, an entrepreneur, for her successful career trajectory.

On Wednesday, August 7, CNA News announced she would replace Mr. Piyush Gupta as CEO after his 14-year tenure.

This is significant news for Su Shan and her family. This marks a notable milestone in her career and is likely to enhance her lifestyle with her husband and two children.

She has been happily married to Christopher Wilson for 26 years. The couple tied the knot in 1998.

The couple, who had been married for almost three decades, reportedly first met at a commiseration party in Hong Kong.

Su Shan worked for the insurance service company Barings, whereas Wilson went to Hong Kong after receiving an offer of a leadership role at a Swiss private bank.

After a few years of their courtship in Hong Kong, they moved back to Singapore in late 1996 before walking down the aisle.

During their 26 years of companionship, Su Shan and Christopher welcomed two kids: a son, Kai, and a daughter, Talisa.

They extended their family of two to four, welcoming their first child, daughter Talisa, in 1999, followed by their second child, son Kai, in 2001.

Tan Su Shan’s husband, Christopher Wilson, has a successful multifaceted career spanning over four decades!

Christopher Wilson’s successful career has extended to different fields, including the army, banking, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and more.

Christopher, who was born in 1957, is a social entrepreneur and business consultant. He is the founder of the Water and Healthcare Foundation (WAH).

As co-founder of the Water and Healthcare Foundation, Chris engages in various social activities to help the community.

Su Shan and Christopher are both passionate about community service, which creates a strong bond between them.

According to his LinkedIn, he has been working simultaneously at BugleRock Capital’s advisory board since March 2024.

Christopher served as a British Army officer for a decade and left the Army in 1987.

The father of two briefly worked as a banker from 1993 until 1997 before starting his entrepreneurship journey.

Likewise, he embarked on his philanthropic work in 2008, delivering safe water to rural areas.

Christopher graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Arts. He is also an alumnus of Manchester University.
