Sarah Geronimo Isn’t Pregnant, But She and Matteo Guidicelli are Open about Future Family Plans
Filipino singer Sarah Geronimo previously sparked pregnancy rumors in 2021 and 2022, which were promptly put to rest when her husband, Matteo Guidicelli, addressed and denied the speculations. However, there has been no concrete evidence about her pregnancy in 2024.
The rumors started on August 16, 2021, after the singer’s husband shared an Instagram post with a caption that reads:
I’m thinking of getting a new family SUV.
This post led fans to speculate that Matteo was hinting at Sarah’s pregnancy when it could have simply been a Nissan endorsement.
Later, in 2022, the rumors resurfaced after the couple’s picture in which Sarah appeared to have a baby bump.
However, in an interview with ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe, Matteo clarified the situation, confirming that it was merely the wind and not a baby bump, saying:
It’s just the winds from the mountains billowing her dress. Just the wind. Let’s enjoy being married first, and enjoy our time together. Hopefully soon.
Moreover, the heated buzz about the singer’s pregnancy soon subsided after the firm denial.
Sarah and her husband, Matteo Guidecelli, Have Been Open About Future Plans Of Expanding Their Family
The public cherishes Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli, often describing them as one of the Philippines’ favorite couples.
The couple dated for about seven years before they married on February 20, 2020.
Despite all the pregnancy rumors, the couple has been open about their hopeful future plans to become a family of three.
During the launch of G Studios in October 9 2023, the lovely couple talked about their thoughts on pregnancy, expressing their hopes to wait for the perfect time to have children.
When the interviewer asked if the music star was ready to have children, Sarah replied:
Ready is such a big word.
The singer seemed uncomfortable when her husband took over the conversation, saying:
Sana sana ipag-pray niyo, sana dragon baby. In God’s time
The above translates to “I hope you pray for it, I hope it’s a dragon baby. In God’s time”.
Additionally, in 2023, during one of Matteo’s media conferences, he also shared his plans to have their first baby by the end of the year, saying:
God-willing, after all these activities that Sarah wants to do and accomplish and, of course, my commitments with the network, hopefully by the end of the year. Let’s all pray that it will happen.
It is truly admirable that her husband is consistently supportive, often emphasizing his priority for his wife over the idea of having a baby.
Although there has been no confirmed news of Sarah being pregnant, fans have appreciated the couple’s transparency about the issue.
