Kayla Evans Battled Ovarian Cancer Before Her Passing!
Popular singer, musician, and producer Kayla Evans fought a battle with her illness, ovarian cancer, before passing away on July 17, 2024.
Kayla Chiffon Evans was born on February 13, 1992, as the only child of Fondrea Lynn Lewis and Trayce R. Evans in Orange, New Jersey.
Everyone loved her for her jolly character, contagious smile, and affectionately called ‘Batman,’ among her friends and family.
Likewise, her work as a singer, musician, songwriter, and producer, along with her skill in playing piano, guitar, clarinet, and drums, was widely admired.
Moreover, she also founded Kaizen Concept Entity and worked as a graphic designer and photographer for various websites.
Kayla Struggled Throughout Her Life From Childhood But Lived Joyfully
Dr. Fondrea Lewis, renowned singer and Kayla’s mother, announced through her Instagram in September 2023 that her daughter had ovarian cancer.
Likewise, Kayla revealed on TikTok that doctors diagnosed her with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome at age 11 and prescribed Alesse and 500mg of Metformin.
Evans solidified her walk over eleven months of battling cancer and impressed doctors and health workers without expressing any pain.
She went to the hospital after experiencing severe pain along with symptoms like weakness, tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting.
After 15 days of tests and medication, doctors diagnosed her with ovarian cancer before she began chemotherapy and other treatments.
Likewise, her mother and niece accompanied her at the hospital for over 7 months and took care of her.
Consequently, she started losing hair as an effect of chemotherapy before breathing last on July 17, 2024.
Her mother announced through Instagram that Evans slept away in her mother’s loving arms in Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
In addition to her battle with cancer, she also suffered during her childhood after she crushed her pelvis in four parts following a car accident.
As a result, her right leg was completely paralyzed, and her left leg was partially paralyzed, along with severe damage to her organs.
She underwent physical and mental challenges with over forty surgical procedures throughout her life but never lost hope, inspiring millions.
