Two-time Grammy-nominated musician John Mayall passed away on July 22, 2024. Although the precise illness behind his passing is yet to be confirmed, he was previously suffering from some health issues.
He breathed his last on Monday at his home in California, surrounded by his family and loved ones at the age of 90.

John Mayall Previously Suffered From Pneumonia and Other Health Issues
John Mayall had previously been diagnosed with Pneumonia, however, the precise reason behind his passing remains unknown.
The tragic news of his passing broke into the public from his Instagram page which reads,
It is with heavy hearts that we bear the news that John Mayall passed away peacefully in his California home yesterday, July 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
The English musician is survived by his first-wife, Pamela, second-wife Maggie, six children, seven grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Speaking of his health issues, John Mayall formerly rescheduled his performance at Eureka Springs Blues Weekend after suffering a bout of pneumonia in 2018.
Following the tour’s unexpected cancellation, John and his team apologized to the fans who were looking forward to his show.
The post addressing the cancellation of the tour read,
John loves his fans and is sorry to disappoint you, but he is looking forward to seeing you soon at a venue near you.
Similarly, he had called off his performance on September 11, 2018, at The Cohoes Musical Hall after getting struggling with the health issue.
Following his diagnosis of Pnuemonia, the musician was forced to reduce his touring career and limit performances to local shows.
