Rex Nelon’s first wife Shirley‘s daughter Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband, Jason, and one of their daughter, Amber, passed away in the Wyoming plane accident.

He tied the knot twice, first to Shirley Nelon and later to Judy Nelon, after Shirley’s life fell short while fighting cancer.
Shirley Nelon, aka Reeves, was Rex’s first wife and the mother of his two children, Kelly and Todd.
The lady was born in 1937 and passed away battling cancer in 1997 alongside her husband, Rex Lloyd Nelon.
She was not only his partner but also an integral part of the gospel’s musical journey into the entertainment industry.
Shirley nurtured her daughter, Kelly, who went on to lead The Nelons for the rest of her life until 2024.
Rex married Judy Nelon, who managed the group in the industry, after Shirley’s passing.
She worked alongside her husband during his later years, helping to manage The Nelons during a stormy time.
Unlike most of the cases, Judy supported the work of her stepchildren, Kelly and Todd, and even helped foster their talent.
