We lost my daddy last night, and I really don’t have words yet. I want to let y’all know that I’m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte as I am going home to be with my family.
Lauren’s father, Jerry Eugene “J.J.” Suddeth, Jr., passed away at 52. His private funeral service was conducted at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
In the wake of the tragic event, Lauren canceled three shows on the Carowinds Summer Festival scheduled on July 27, 2024.

She took to her Instagram for the first time after her father’s demise to express her immense gratitude for the overwhelming support and love from everyone.
She penned a lengthy caption writing about the support she received from various people in their lives during a difficult period that started like this,
Thank you. I can’t think of much else to say right now other than thank you. Thank you to everyone who has checked on me and continued to show up for me.
Lauren then thanked Jason Aldean, Brittany Aldean, and their team for taking care of her like a family.
She specifically thanked her husband, brother, sister, parents, and extended family for their support, whether through emotional support, FaceTime calls, or physical presence in person.
Lastly, the singer praised the Lord Jesus and the Kingdom of God for providing strength and comfort during this time of ordeal. She wrote,
Most of all thank you Jesus for the unconditional love and strength from the Kingdom of God surrounding all of us right now as we navigate this pain and sorrow.
On August 7, 2024, Lauren revealed that she will appear in Corey Kent’s “Now or Never,” which is set to release on August 16, 2024.
